Strooper - Track Stroop test results when visiting particular websites
Strooper is a Chrome add-on developed by Andy. It falls under the category of Browsers and is classified as an Add-ons & Tools subcategory. This free program is designed to track cognitive control and deter distractions.
The main functionality of Strooper is simple yet effective. Users can specify a list of frequently visited URLs, and before accessing these sites, Strooper generates a mini Stroop test that must be completed. The Stroop test consists of three parts: color naming, word reading, and the actual Stroop test. By including all three parts, Strooper calibrates against the user's reading and color naming speeds.
During each test run, Strooper collects four samples, including the correct answer, user answer, and response time. These test results are stored in the extension's local storage and can be viewed in the extension popup window. The data can also be saved for more permanent storage.
By using Strooper, users can either reduce their visits to distracting websites or consistently collect cognitive test data over time. It's a win-win situation!
Happy tracking!
